Bree + Brad : : Preview Gallery

Friday, October 3, 2008

Bree and Brad's wedding was in a word...stunning. They were married on top of a mountain, over looking the waters of Lake Michigan at The Homestead in Glen Arbor, MI. Every where you looked were personal, beautiful, and labored-over touches.

The Friday affair started out the night before for Angie and I as we traveled up north with the fabulous and amazing Aletha of Pearls Events, with a car full of mouth-watering cupcakes from the lovely Becca of Lil Miss Cupcake. Most of them made up to their destination.

The day itself was truly incredible. I have gotten to know this couple well over the past year and their day lived up to everything I knew it would be. I still can't get over all of the details Bree put together over their engagement and I know that everyone who attended the wedding was blown away. I'll let the pictures tell the rest of the story of the day.

Bree wore these burnt orange and fabulous shoes on her wedding day and a hair piece for the reception from Twigs & Honey, who's Etsy store I'm drooling all over.

When Angie and I arrived at the condo in the morning, Bree was totally calm. A little too calm. And she kept telling us how calm she was. And then as soon as Brad's gift arrived...it was all over. The waterworks started.

Fabulous details
Julie Strating, makeup artist extraordinaire, was on hand to make everyone wedding ready.

Cute little champagnes in a can....love this!
While the girl's finished up, I hopped over to the boy's condo to start with their pictures together. This group was totally up for the challenge of whatever I threw at them. Totally rocking it boys!

Before the ceremony, Bree and Brad stayed on their respective sides of this door, but held hands for comfort, choosing not to see each other before they walked down the aisle.

How cute are Bree and her dad...taking a picture of themselves.

In lieu of a unity candle, Bree and Brad had childhood pictures of themselves mounted onto boards that they turned around and joined together with a picture of themselves on the other side...totally original and PERFECT for this picture-loving couple.

Runaway flower girl!
Married! Notice the poor bridesmaids shivering in the background...it was COLD up on that mountain!

We got a little quirky.

They put together a rockin' kid's table!

Bree and Brad...you know I loved being a part of your day and it was everything I knew it would be. I'm going to text you now, to let you know your blog post is finally here (Bree texted earlier this evening, just as I sat down to put their preview together...fabulous irony) Congratulations again!

Anne + Lee - Your preview post will be up in the next few days!

Amy, I want to first thank you for sharing your amazing talent. Being off at college, and unable to attend the wedding, these pictures offer a breathtaking step into the wedding that I was sadly unable to attend. The emotions, energy, and mood of that day leap from the pictures, almost tangibly allowing me to pretend I had been there that day - a true talent.

Id like to end saying congrats Brad & Bree, you both looked wonderful on your special day. I really am sorry I couldn't be there to celebrate it with you two.
