Blythe + Brent : : Wedding Preview!

Where: Ceremony - Frederick Meijer Gardens, Reception - McFadden's Restaurant & Saloon

Highlight of the Day: Blythe and Brent wanted to keep the feeling of their wedding reception hip and fun which is why they opted to have their reception on the third floor of McFadden's in downtown Grand Rapids. The feeling was comfortable and trendy as their guests danced to upbeat music and enjoyed the fabulous food and candy bar, which the couple opted for in lieu of a cake. I also absolutely loved shooting the ceremony inside of the Meijer Gardens as the lush plants surrounded their guests as Blythe and Brent said their vows.

I am convinced I have the best clients!

I had an engagement session this afternoon with Becky and Matt who were so much fun to work with. Matt actually does photography for his school newspaper so we had a lot of fun talking about cameras, techniques and people we admire in the business. It was a fun session downtown and the weather couldn't have been more beautiful for October. I hope they enjoy their pictures as much as I do!

Crystal + Travis : : Wedding Preview!

Where: Jackson, MI

Highlight of the Day: The weather was definitely a big highlight for everyone involved in this wedding! In Michigan it seems like it's always either too hot or too cold and today was just perfect. It was sunny and warm, but not too warm and the bride couldn't have been happier. She originally thought her wedding would be cold and rainy as it was the end of September but it couldn't have been further from that. Besides the ideal temps, this wedding was full of beautiful colors and a wonderful group of family and friends. Crystal and Travis were so sweet to work with. Travis also had a Ford Mustang that was a 'must have' picture so we made sure to include it in some of their shots.

I wish them both a lifetime of happiness together!

Laura + Brian : : Wedding Preview!

Where: Spring Lake Country Club

Highlight of the Day: Laura's green dress! I love seeing all of the beautiful wedding gowns I get to photograph every week, but it was definitely fun to photograph such a unique gown. Brian and Laura had a beautiful outdoor ceremony and an elegant reception at Spring Lake Country Club. And their cake was to die for!
